Activity Safety
All activities undertaken by Spartans Explorer Scouts are run in accordance with the Scout Association's Policy, Organisation and Rules (POR). For adventurous activities such as climbing, hillwalking etc, the leader of the activity will have a great amount of experience, and will have been assessed against the national standards by a qualified assessor, and re-assessed regularly.
Safety is paramount, and therefore all activities are risk assessed to ensure that they are safe to carry out. Where appropriate, all relevant safety equipment for an activity will be provided. Where personal equipment is required, the participants will be notified well in advance.
The Scout Association carries a very comprehensive personal accident policy that covers all its members whilst on Scouting activities.
